Renee
Bartolo BSc (Hons), GAICD
Renee has extensive experience in the use of spatial technologies
for a variety of applications. She has worked with local government
and NGOs in developing spatial solutions. Her research focus is
on tropical wetlands and as such is currently completing a PhD examining
landscape change in northern Australian and southern New Guinea
floodplains. Renee has experience in managing research projects
and working in multi-disciplinary research teams on integrated projects.
She is active in the business community and has a strong interest
in governance issues and the pathway from research and invention
to commercialisation.
Dr Darren Bell BSc, Grad Dip
Ed, Grad Dip Sc (Dist), PhD
Darren is a remote sensing expert, specialising in the practical
use and application of radar data for environmental management.
His PhD focused on the use of multifrequency polarimetric synthetic
aperture radar data for salinity mapping. Darren has developed many
collaborative links with a broad range of reaserch and management
agencies, both nationally and internationally.
Josh Forner BSc (Hons)
Josh has a wide range of skills in spatial data creation and management
systems, image analysis and surveying. He has had extensive experience
working with local government, NGO’s and Aboriginal community
organisations. His main interests lie in the application of geospatial
technologies to natural resource management issues. He is currently
completing a PhD examining the sustainability of harvesting timber
for didjeridu production in the woodlands of northern Australia.
This project involves high levels of community consultation and
collaboration with numerous key government agencies.
