Image Analysis

GecOz utilises a range of software, data and processing techniques to provide solutions to land and resource management issues.

RSI's IDL scripting language and Wolframs Mathematica are used to create proprietary solutions.

Some examples of remote sensing services are:

  • RADAR remote sensing for environmental applications (for example mapping stands of dead trees
  • Surface Salinity mapping: SaltSAR
  • Vegetation mapping and quantitative assessment
  • Natural resource mapping including change analysis
  • Interpretation of aerial photography and satellite imagery (Landsat, SPOT, RadarSat, IKONOS, Quickbird, MODIS, ASTER etc.)
  • Georeferencing and mosaicing of digital imagery
  • Data processing and manipulation
  • Map production, including large format printing
  • Production of 3D Fly-through animation
  • Landscape mapping and visualisation for marketing purposes
