GecOz offers a wide range
of quanta solutions.
Examples of such solutions provided by GecOz include:
(1) the assessment of a universal fishing net coded system,
(2) dielectric constant to electrical conductivity conversions for
soil salinity assessment; and
(3) mathematically modeling stomatal responses to tropical environments.
In the universal fishing net coded system example, the client had
suggested that dumped or discarded fishing nets are a major environmental
problem around the world.
Therefore, in order to monitor compliance with regulations, a tracking
system linking such nets to their owners required development. One
option was to develop a colour coding system that could be entwined
into the net weaving.
The lowest common denominator for fishing net weaves is three strands
each with twelve filaments.
Given that there are between 2360 and 236 000 estimated fisheries,
each requiring their own fishing net ‘code’, can such
a system be implemented using five colours for the twin?
The solution was calculated using a series of combinatorics.
